"Deepening the cultural space of considering it as the centerpiece of the area of social life and personal well" is one of the main objectives of the Intercultural Conference that the Commonwealth of Social Services with the City Council is organizing Archena from yesterday until this afternoon at the Cultural Center of Archena.
This event is dedicated to both the immigrant population in the region of Valle de Ricote and Archena as the general public, entitled "Experiences and questions."
The opening of these sessions was chaired by the Assistant Director of Immigration, Ministry of Labour, Irene García Suárez, President of the Commonwealth and the Mayor of Villanueva, José Luis López Ayala, and the mayor of Archena, Marcos Manuel Sanchez Cervantes.
The ceremony was also attended by council members and mayors and Archena Ricote Valley.
In these days has spoken to the demands of serving immigrants, self-employment, family reunification and innovative projects and activities for the integration of immigrants, among other issues.
In addition, there has been tasting of typical food of the countries of origin of immigrants living in this region.
This afternoon at 19.00 hours the Director General of Immigration, Leopoldo Navarro, and the mayor of Archena, Manuel Marcos Sánchez Cervantes, will close those days.
The act also includes a music festival with the participation of dancers from Colombia, Morocco, Senegal and Paraguay, as well as Archena.
