The French historian, specialist of Moorish Spain, Bernard Vincent, will be the harbinger of the Moors and Christians of Corpus (20/03/2015)

Historian and global specialist Bernard Vincent Moorish Spain will be the harbinger of Moors and Christians Celebrations of the festivity of Corpus Archena this coming May.

The French historian Bernard Vincent is honorary doctorate from the Complutense University of Madrid.

The emeritus professor María Victoria López-Cordón was read by the laudatio at the investiture ceremony held last days and was chaired by the rector José Carrillo.

Specialized, global expert in Moorish Spain Modern Age and the societies and cultures of the Mediterranean environment, the interests of Vincent also cover the contemporary history of Spain and Latin American countries.

Director of studies at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris since 1988, Bernard Vincent, born in Paris in 1941 is one of the most prestigious representatives of the French school of historiography and has developed close cooperation with universities Spanish, both through the Casa de Velázquez, of which he was director of studies and general secretary between 1977 and 1982, and from Paris.
