The presidential advisor, Manuel Campos, held in Murcia today a working meeting with the mayor of the town, Patricia Fernandez and his government team to discuss the needs of the municipality and the development of measures and actions aimed at promoting the safety in Murcia.
During the meeting, held at the headquarters hall, the head of the Presidential highlighted the regional government's commitment "to provide the citizens of the region the highest levels of safety, service and attention nearest police more effective."
In this regard, he stressed the commitment this year with the municipality of Archena for the development and implementation of Safety Plan of the Region of Murcia, which allocates an amount of 300,000 euros to cover the actions of the 10 officers seconded to the , noting that the town has received 1,843,813 euros in the six years of the Plan, launched in 2006.
In this regard, he stressed that the Public Safety Plan "represents a cornerstone in the society of the Region of Murcia aimed at improving the quality of life and welfare of the people", which "has allowed to invest 282 million euros, increasing templates for Local police forces with 628 new troops, increasing the number of vehicles and improve the equipment of troops in the municipalities in the region ".
"The regional government's commitment to safety is still very high, making it possible to extend the term of the Safety Plan in the Region by 2020", said the Minister Manuel Campos, who noted "the significant improvement in public safety throughout regional territory, thanks to the implementation of the Safety Plan ".
After the meeting, the Minister, accompanied by the mayor, visited the offices of the local police Archena for your current situation and potential needs that may be on them.
The body of the local police Archena is composed of 34 people, of which 28 are officers, three corporals, two sergeants and an officer.
Also, the Minister Manuel Campos municipal councilor moved to the effort from the Ministry of the Presidency is being made in policies on gender violence and reported subsidies and aid which is destined to municipalities for the maintenance of the Network of Centres Services for Women Victims of Domestic Violence, Red CAVI, for a total amount of 600,000 euros.
So Archena CAVI receive 48,353 euros this year for the maintenance and development of the service.
The budget of the Ministry of the Presidency also plans a grant in the town of 12,364 euros for counseling young people in employment.
Over 2.7 million improvements
The town of Archena has evolved significantly in the past four years, during which the Autonomous Region has invested 2,714,414 euros for the development of various improvement actions.
