Maria Castillo and Rosalinda Soro Alcolea Hidalgo were elected this past weekend Queens Youth and Children, respectively, of the festivity of Corpus Christi and Our Lady of Health that began with this event and will end on June 17.
The event, as usual, was held at the Summer Theatre Film and attracted about 2,000 people.
Earlier, this year's official town crier, the known and popular confectioner Rafael Marco, read his inaugural address in the festivities.
Its contents were very emotional and mainly organized reminders of how the past holiday of the fifties and sixties of last century.
The choice of Queens was performed as has been done in recent years by secret ballot between those candidates.
Earlier, Mayor Patricia Fernandez spoke thanking collaborations that many sectors of the population have been made for the Patron of this year are not diminished, despite the economic crisis gripping the country, Archena too.
The event ended with the Queen and Ladies waltz danced in the middle of the track Summer Film with their respective companions.
The festivities continue this week with the big celebrations of Moors and Christians and later, the Corpus Christi procession and parade of floats, among hundreds of events planned.
