Archenera Dr. Encarna Guillén Navarro, head of the Medical Genetics Unit at the Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca of Murcia and a specialist in rare diseases, has been awarded in prizes FEDER (Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases) 2011 Special Award nomination for Autonomy.
The official presentation of this award will take place on March 3, coinciding with the celebration the same day the World Day for Rare Diseases, to be held in the Senate, the capital of Spain.
The awards will be borne by HRH Princess Letizia, who will also chair the event with other great figures of different social and medical.
Dr. Guillen is a child of the current local president of the association of relatives of Alzheimer patients (Arzheina), Encarna Navarro, and was the official herald of the festivity of Corpus Christi and Our Lady of Health last year Archena 2010.
