The performance of the Batucada DaFlow began the acts of the Festival of the Municipal School of Music that now turns 20 years.
The program began at 16.30 yesterday with the inauguration of the photography exhibition of the best moments of these 20 years of school, under the title '20 years growing with music '.
Later there was workshop of pintacaras, globoflexia and contests of homemade sweets and construction of instruments with recyclable material that sounds, with a great participation mainly of children.
The second part of this program, presided over by Mayoress Patricia Fernández, Councilor for Education, Mario Alcaraz, and the President of the Association of the Musical School, Francisco Fernández Reina, took place in the auditorium of the music school itself .
There a video summary of the 20 years was projected and there were concerts of the different musical groups of the School, finally to proceed to the delivery of Diplomas to the students who finished the basic studies and those who passed the test for professional studies of Conservatory.
The deliveries were made by the Mayor, Councilor, President of the Association of the School and the President of the AMPA of the Municipal School of Music.
The Municipal School of Music began in 1996 with 40 students and 3 teachers and currently has 412 students, from 2 to 70 years, and 15 teachers and a modern and adapted building that was inaugurated in 2011.
